BAY HOUSE
Miami BEach, Florida
The design of this residence responds to the specific conditions of the site in which it is located, which previously contained a historically designated home designed by Miami’s celebrated architect August Geiger.
Given the historic home was no longer on the site, the design builds on the architect’s legacy. The residence’s new massing emerged from careful studies of the historic volumes, architectural elements, and materials. The plan is organized around a central courtyard, from which emerges a processional entry experience revealing the layers of indoor and outdoor spaces until culminating on the open waterfront view.
